Yes, as Rosen stated---I was BEDAZZLED (ahem--I might have used the word "interested"-instead--but whatever Rosen says shall remain) with the news that he has forged a longterm friendship with Chryssie. I've loved the Pretenders for years--since their heyday in the late '70's. But, that is not what makes me the happiest. What really makes me kvell ( Please translate for Chryssie, Steve) is all of Steve's lofty accomplishments as an author and an authority on Eastern religions and comparative religion. And he's still FUN!
In other words, Steve's a pretty cool guy. I knew it back then and I know it now.

Thanks, Ellen. Truth be told, though, Chrissie considers herself an honorary Yid, since she grew up with loads of Jewish friends, smoking cannabis chassidis and such. She loves Jewish humor, too. Though we spent a lot of time talking about her life (for the autobiography), she seemed more fascinated (bedazzled?) by mine, especially my early memories of growing up in Brooklyn, Hillside Bungalow Colonies, Catskill comedians, and, yes, being a Hin-jew in the Hare Krishna movement. She loved it all. --S
