Incredible. Simply incredible. I haven't thought about those names and faces for over 30 years. And some of them look so young (now that's scarey)! --S
Oh my God...Mr. DeSantis, my photography teacher was such a curmudgeon...a gentle lamb of one, once you got to know him..and Dr. Starr with his weird microphone get up, and Ms. Rosenkranz...a strange, nice bird. I loved Sandra Nobel, Mr. Strauss (my drafting teacher, who could be a pill, but made me laugh)...so many memories, faces. Wow.
Mr Doree was my Package Design teacher. What a patient man. He spent alot of time helping us with our portfolios for college— photographing our projects and making slides for us. When he nominated me for the graduating class Package Design medal, I thought I could go on to do anything.
We were generally out of control in class, laughing and having way too much fun. At the height of his frustration he would call out to the class, "Gentle souls-please." He would address many of us as Mr or Miss. Hence my nickname in class as Missy Moss. A nickname that has stuck with me since High School.
